Hello is the new goodbye.

Dear Blue (and everyone else),

Okay, so I changed my mind.

Well, not really changed it—instead I went with what my instincts had been whispering for some time now.

I've been mulling over this whole journaling thing for months: what about it do I like? What makes me uncomfortable? What am I looking for? What do I want to get out of it?

What started as a need to keep a personal journal has changed to a desire to shout to the rooftops. There's an awful lot of good in my life right now—especially in my professional life—and to make a long story short, a semi-anonymous, under-the-radar blog is no longer the appropriate medium.

So I'm coming out of the closet.*

Blogging has opened all sorts of doors for me, and introduced me to all kinds of kindred spirits. I'm so thankful for all of you who have come this far with me, and I hope you'll take one more step. So without further ado—if you'd like to meet the real me, please join me here.

* Said closet has also been imploded, as you can see. Sorry about that. But many of the posts that dealt with artwork, sustainability and professional issues will likely reappear in some form on the new blog.
